WHAT TO BRING FOR A SESSION

A Mountain Bike, Helmet – in full working order (NOT A BMX HELMET), appropriate clothing and footwear including waterproof jacket (please be aware that clothing and shoes can get muddy by the end of ride so a change of clothes may be handy). Snacks and a drink.

Specialized Bikes and helmets can be rented from The Trail Academy, simply send over an email or message and we can have one ready for your arrival. We will conduct a safety check on all bikes and advice on correct set up before every course.

Regardless of age, ability or skill level the Trail Academy is here to help. It is our aim to make all our sessions as fun and progressive as possible. We want everyone to learn at their own pace and have fun while doing, so all our sessions are laid-back and relaxed.

SAFETY STATEMENT

The Trail Academy takes safety very seriously.

Mountain biking should be fun but we ensure that learning takes place within an environment that minimises risk. As such, we have to ensure that every participant has equipment suitable for the activity. It is the responsibility of the parent / rider to ensure that:

Helmets are in good condition, fit the head and do not move when on. The bike is well maintained and has two working brakes, inflated tyres and is trail worthy. Clothing is appropriate for riding and that jewellery is not worn. The Trail Academy coaches will make the difficult decision to not include any participant in the session if they feel that their helmet, bike or clothing is unsafe. We do not want to disappoint any child / adult rider but would prefer to take this decision than be responsible for an injury that may have been prevented.
