Spending time amongst nature allows children to be creative, to develop self-confidence, to develop independence and to thrive in a woodland environment. The Forest Academy has the perfect environment to create a memorable Forest experience that will live long in the memory.
The Forest Academy offers woodland birthday parties and school holiday sessions that will include a mix of high-energy challenges such a tree climbing, treasure hunts alongside calmer more relaxing nature activities giving the session a lovely rhythm and ensuring that guests leave tired and enthused! Popular activities include den building, fire lighting, mini beast hunts, woodland walks with educational stories crafts (making catapults) and games such as treasure hunts and capture the flag!
Birthday parties
We are very proud of our unique setting and our birthday parties are extremely popular! Parties are based in our private woodlands, with a 2.5 hour session featuring a ‘Pick N Mix’ activities list, it might be mini beast hunting, fire lighting, woodland medallion making, den building, fairy hunts and so many other woodland adventures to choose from, so you can tailor make the party to suit your child and friends…then half an hour for your birthday food/cake! You can cook on our open fire or bring sandwiches, toast marshmallows and feast on cake!
£255.00 for up to 10 Children (Additional children charged at £10 each)
Your party will include exclusive use of the Forest Academy woodlands, private parking and invites to send out!
School Holiday Sessions
These sessions will take place during every school holiday and be a 2-3 hour session depending on age in our stunning woodlands.
The children will work with tools, play, problem solve, toast marshmallows around the camp fire; they will explore, discover and learn about the world around them; they will develop their physical stamina and learn emotional resilience. All this whilst having lots and lots of fun under the guidance of a qualified woodland leader!
Forest Academy takes place all year round in almost all weathers, with the exception of high winds or thunder & lightning storms!
Our school holiday sessions will be split over three age groups with various activities including den building, mini beast hunts, fire building, crown making, bark rubbing and lots more depending on age groups:
Twiglets: children aged 5-7
Acorns: children aged 8-10
Oaks: children aged 10-14
